Holy moly, some weird events happened around the time we left town today.
We left the local Target to put up our stuff in the car, when all of a sudden, a series of fire trucks and various police vehicles gathered around a spot in the marketplace square. I believe it was over a concern that a gas line might’ve been ruptured, with the fire department possibly applying a fire retardant to the line.
The next hijink was high speed chase, there were around 12 police vehicles travelling on the opposite side of the interstate I was on, completely baffled on what could possibly be going on. It was revealed later by my grandpa, who was watching the news at time we were on the road, that they were actually chasing a suspected shooter that injured a person near a school in a nearby city.
The icing on this weird cake was this semi-truck that was in front of us, which I must say, was a bit scary to see, for we thought we were about to witness an accident. The truck tried to cut ahead of the semi in the other lane, but they nearly even made it though, as they were close to clipping the semi behind.
So yeah, crazy hijinks they were indeed.
